Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources: Saudi Arabia aims to produce 25 million tons of iron by 2035.

HE. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bandar Al-Khorayef, opened the 3rd Saudi International Conference for Iron and Steel in Riyadh, attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry of Egypt, Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir, and a group of decision-makers, experts, and investors.

Key highlights include:

– Independence of “Hadeed” to become a national entity specializing in high-quality iron products.
– Establishment of Bab Al-Khair Company in partnership with China, Aramco, and the Public Investment Fund to produce heavy iron plates.
– Revival of Steel Company and merger of seamless pipe companies into a single entity.
– Completion of a study on certified small factories producing reinforcing steel to enhance their efficiency.
